Originially released to coincide with Minister for Community, Rural & Gaeltacht Affairs, Eamon O'Cuiv’s Platinum Disc Presentation to Dessie O’Halloran on Inishbofin along with the success of Sharon Shannon’s nationwide tour featuring Dessie..and following on from the radio hit ‘Courtin in the Kitchen’. ‘The Pound Road’ was re-released with new artwork, new recordings, new mixes and a new running order. This was in tandem with Dessie’s 65th birthday, a TG4 documentary and a book on this unique artist from Inishbofin. Please note new mixes include ‘Katie Daly’ radio mix and reprise along with ‘Courtin’ guesting Damien Dempsey, Mundy and Sharon Shannon.
