The Wolfe Tones have been practicing their own blend of traditional and rebel Irish music for years and this album combines that mixture very aptly. The music is either political or non-political. The political champions the ancient Irish rebels of lost centuries, sometimes with caustic references to old English establishments ("Rock on Rockall"...200 miles from Donegal theres a place called Rockall and the groping hands of Whitehall are grapping at its wall). You'll find your foot moving to the beat without noticing. "Fiddlers Green" is commonly sang in a good Irish session...rousing chorus! Overall, the mood of the album is sombre but defiant
