Needing no introduction, the Wolfe Tones have after all been the number one ballad group in Ireland since their humble beginnings in 1963. They have since that year had a wonderfully successful recording career, always featuring in the best selling lists and Irish pop charts. They have had several No.1 singles and all their albums have made double or triple platinum status. In a BBC worldwide poll their song "A Nation Once Again" was chosen as the best and most popular song from the last century, beating off the likes of Mozart, The Beatles and Queen. Here then are 42 tracks chosen by the band to reflect their career. Some of the tunes are performed live while some have been newly recorded for this venture. Having played across the globe, from The Albert Hall to Carnegie in New York and back to Paris this incredible band have spread the Irish ballad far and wide for 40 years. Long may it continue.
