Brian has recorded two solo albums to date, and both have been met with enormous critical acclaim. He is steeped in traditional music and is an avid collector of tunes. His music has been recognised globally, and he has firmly established himself as one of the greatest exponents of the tin whistle, world wide. Garry O Briain was born in Dublin and has been involved with some well known musicians to form successive groups: ‘Aengus’ with Maurice Lennon, Tony and Jackie Small, ‘Buttons and Bows’ with Jackie Daly and the McGuire brothers, ‘Skylark’ with Len Graham and Gerry O’Connor. He has continued to work with many of Ireland’s foremost musicians while working as session player on an extensive list of recordings. Production credits include Mairtin O’Connor, The Clancy Brothers, Dordán, Danú, Séamus and Manus McGuire.
