Gerry O'Beirne is a veteran singer-songwriter. Maura O'Connell, Mary Black, and Cathie Ryan have covered his tunes. He's also popped up as a folkie on A Prairie Home Companion. But on The Bog Bodies he shuts up and plays his guitar, along with just about anything else you can pluck and strum.The music was written and performed on his ragtag collection of guitars and other stringed instruments including 12 string guitar, National Steel guitar, Spanish guitar, slide guitar, ukulele, and tiple. Two tracks feature fiddler Rosie Shipley.
