Shamtown Records in conjunction with Universal Music Ireland are delighted to announce the release of a brand new 22 track compilation “Best Of” album by The Saw Doctors on October 23rd.
Released by Universal Music Ireland in Ireland and UMTV in UK, this generously-filled selection includes their 2008 No1 hit, ‘About You Now’, and its follow up, ‘She Loves Me’, alongside the band’s long-established classics, such as ‘N17’, ‘I Useta Lover’, ‘Hay Wrap’, ‘The Green And Red Of Mayo’ and ‘To Win Just Once’.
With the remarkable success of ‘About You Now’ and fantastic performance at this year’s Oxegen, the band’s popularity has soared over the past year and has brought them to a whole new audience who will welcome this opportunity to soak up the songs that have delighted Saw Doctors fans since 1990, when they scored their first No1 with ‘I Useta Lover’.
The Saw Doctors, who were honoured by The Irish Music Industry last year with a Meteor Award, will begin an Irish Tour at Dublin’s Olympia Theatre on Saturday October 24 to launch the “Best Of” compilation with concerts in Sligo, Limerick, Belfast, Killarney and Castlebar on New Year’s Eve.
