Daniel O’Donnell celebrates 30 years in the business in 2011 and still remains one of the most consistent and popular recording artists.
Daniel has now amassed fourteen Top 30 albums – ten of them Top 10 – since January 2000, a feat not achieved by ANY other recording Artist in the UK Album Chart and this new album sees Daniel return to his traditional Irish roots.
Daniel’s continuing run of charting albums has meant that he is the only artist to have charted at least one album every year since 1988.
‘Moon Over Ireland’ is full of songs that he has never previously had the opportunity to record, The album features 16 new recordings and is a selection of songs with Irish, or Irish-related themes, many that have been hits for other people including ‘Sonny’, ‘When You Were Sweet Sixteen’, ‘The Fields of Athenry’and ‘Maggie’.
In the weeks leading up to the release, Daniel continues his busy schedule of touring and PR around the new album.
