Frank has taken ballads from the countryside and from the heart of the city, and sings them with the conviction and affection that mark him as a great ballad singer. Some of the songs tell of heartbreak and emigration, some sing of love and others are hilariously funny it's a lovely look at the spectrum of songs within the Irish tradition.
