NEW FOR 2009....This release will coincide with the start of their first Irish tour. On July 17th this world-renowned Irish choral group appear with the RTÉ National Symphony Orchestra at the National Concert Hall, Dublin for the first time. Throughout the summer and into the Autumn, the choir will perform in venues all over Ireland, including Wexford, Kilkenny, Cork, Waterford, Galway, Kerry & Tipperary. Sanctus features seven tracks, including the famous Miserere Mei Deus by Allegri. This sublime piece features stratospheric soprano vocals and runs to just under 13 minutes in length. The album includes four original pieces by Michael McGlynn, including his Agnus Dei . Four of the tracks have been previously released, however over two thirds of the album features newly recorded material.
