This is the new 2002 recording of the songs on the original "Invocation" CD from the mid-nineties. There are two additional tracks, "My Lagan Love" and "The Wild Song", which did not appear on the original CD.
The opening cut on Anuna's Invocation, "The Rising of the Sun" (Eirí Na Gréine), is emotional and powerful, setting the tone for the rest of the disc. "Winter Fire and Snow" evokes a memory of a lady in medieval garb staring thoughtfully out the window, while her musician plays his lute to scare away the melancholy. "Heia Viri" is the work of the 6th Century Irish monk St. Columbanus set beautifully to music, and also noteworthy is "Wind on Sea," runic text written by the ancient pagan poet Amergin Glúngel.
